Funerals

Ceremonies  to honour, commemorate, and to say farewell

When we think of a funeral or memorial ceremony, many of us picture a traditional service, led by a Minister Of Religion,  which reflects a person’s faith and usually incorporates hymns, readings, prayers and rituals.

For generations during times of loss, these ceremonies have offered the comfort and reassurance of personal faith being acknowledged with love and respect.

For some people, religious elements are not an important requirement and instead prefer to focus on sharing personal stories, music, poetry and other meaningful tributes in their own choice of venue.

As your Independent Celebrant,  I will listen to what you want and support and guide you to explore ways to express yourself,  and to reflect, celebrate and honour the life and personality of the person being remembered in the way in you wish to do so.

I will officiate at  Funerals, Memorials and Scattering of Ashes ceremonies wherever and however you desire to honour a loved one’s life and to say a dignified farewell.

Please call me to discuss your ideas so we can create a ceremony that feels right for you.

Naming Ceremonies

-  A celebration and affirmation of Identity

Becoming a parent is a unique and special journey.

It is customary to announce and celebrate the addition to your family within a  special ceremony amongst family and friends.

This traditionally includes the declarations of heartfelt  best wishes, blessings and commitments of support from others towards the child and the family.

Welcoming the young one into the family may involve  religious and cultural prayers and rituals that uphold and reflect your family history and include declarations of commitment towards the child from specially selected and trusted people.

Or you may want to include other content, the choice will be yours.

With a celebrant led ceremony you can have the flexibility to create the ceremony that you want to reflect your family’s wishes.

For some people –  a naming ceremony reflects a major turning point in their life and they want to be introduced to the world by a different name to that,  given to them as a child.

A naming ceremony  has no age limit and is a beautiful way to capture and reflect your  own personal circumstances.

Whatever the situation – let us make it special together.

Please do contact me to discuss your ideas for your ceremony

Weddings

- Ceremonies that celebrate Love

Hearing the stories of people in love, on their journey towards a lifelong commitment to each other is a pleasure, and a privilege.

It is a huge, irresistible responsibility to provide support to plan the celebration ceremony that marks your commitment to each other in the presence of those special people you have chosen to  witness your vows, dedication and decision to join with each other.

Every relationship journey is unique, so your ceremony  will also be unique and will  reflect the essence  of you both as you celebrate your union as  a  couple.

Your ceremony can include religious or cultural references, special rituals, hymns and songs, readings,  romantic anecdotes, tear jerking tales, heart warming tributes which  all help to  express your feelings and what you want to declare to the world.

I want to hear your love story.
